Our story
Aangan — the courtyard at the heart of the home.
Aangan means courtyard — the open heart of a traditional Indian home, where light, air, family and nature meet. It is the idea behind everything we design: spaces that feel open, grounded and gently connected to the world outside.
We are a small, hands-on studio in Pune. We take on a limited number of projects each year so that every home, café and workplace gets real attention — from the first conversation and site walk to the last cushion on the sofa.
Our work is warm rather than showy. We like natural light, textured plaster, stone and timber that age well, and furniture that is comfortable before it is fashionable. Above all, we design around people: how they move, gather, rest and work.
