A careful restoration of a 1930s townhouse — original staircase and arches kept, services and kitchens renewed.
We began with a detailed survey of what was worth saving: the timber staircase, arched openings and the proportion of the rooms. These were repaired rather than replaced.
Behind the scenes the house was rewired, replumbed and waterproofed. New additions — a deep green kitchen, a library and a fireside snug — are designed to feel as if they have always been there.
